What services do you offer?
I provide counseling for individuals, couples, families, and groups. I am also available for consulting.

What are your fees?
$125 for initial 50-minute session and $100 for each subsequent 50-minute session. I do negotiate fees on a sliding scale based on your family’s gross income and size. Please contact me for more information.

Do you file insurance?
No, however, I do provide a superbill that will allow you to request reimbursement from your insurance provider.

Why don’t you file insurance?
To file for insurance reimbursement, I would have to give you a mental health “diagnosis” that your insurance company will agree to cover. A case manager and billing staff at the insurance company will be aware of your “diagnosis” and treatment plan. The case manager will decide how many, if any, sessions are covered. Your “diagnosis” may become part of your permanent medical record, and if your insurance is part of your employment contract, your “diagnosis” may become available to your employer. In addition, some life insurance policies have been denied to those using their mental health coverage.

Alternatively, if you pay out-of-pocket, your case record is confidential.  Information would only be released if legally required or if you give your consent.  Treatment can focus both on specific crises and on changing long-term patterns. (Continued on next page.)
